Will I be sharing a room with strangers?
No, Red Lock rooms are all booked as private rooms, therefore whether you book as a group of 2 or 6, you will always have the room to yourself.
Is the door really locked?
The room escape games real life setting is completely immersive once you’re inside. However, for the safety and enjoyment of all players, a participant may exit a live room escape game at any time. Keep in mind, once a player exits they will not be allowed to re-enter.
What should I bring with me?
Just your inner Sherlock Holmes! The answers to the clues, riddles and puzzles are all in the room, but you will be looking for clues, working with your team mates, and applying logic reasoning to escape. We have a space allocated for your belongings inside the rooms, and please feel free to bring in water bottles. Unfortunately other food or opened drinks cannot be taken into the rooms.
Is there a minimum age?
Red Lock Escape Rooms welcome players of all ages to our Steampunk Time Lab and Christmas Mystery rooms, and children under 7 can play for free with an accompanying adult.
Area 51, Asylum, Bank Heist and Vegas Hangover* are both recommended for players 10+.
(*Please note that Vegas Hangover game has drinking themes throughout the game)
What time should I arrive?
All “escapees” should arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled game. To provide the best experience for all participants, the game doors cannot be re-opened once the game begins.
Can I pay a deposit?
Our standard online booking requires full payment at the time of booking, however if you would prefer to pay a deposit, please call us to book on 1300 415 413 to pay a deposit over the phone. The minimum deposit amount is $10 per person.

What measures has Red Lock taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus?
We have implemented measures effective immediately to ensure our venues remain clean and coronavirus-free. All surfaces are wiped clean with anti-bacterial wipes after each game, and additionally we are requesting that all players use our hand sanitizer before the commencement of each escape room game. We ask any players experiencing symptoms (fever, dry cough) to please contact us to cancel / postpone your booking.
Escape rooms are privately booked games – so you will never be in close contact with strangers. It is a great safe activity to enjoy away from crowds.
