Do I need to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination to play an escape room?
From 17th December, proof of Covid-19 vaccination will be required for entry to Red Lock Escape Rooms during normal operating hours in accordance with the QLD Government mandate. Each player aged 16 years or over will need to demonstrate their vaccination status on arrival. For a full list of proof of vaccination options, visit www.covid19.qld.gov.au.
 
For groups that do have one or more unvaccinated players, we are offering private sessions on Tuesday evenings (6.30pm and 8.00pm). During these sessions our store will be closed to the public and we will be following a strict Covid safe plan. Bookings for our unvaccinated private sessions can be made online. If you would like to enquire about holding a private session on another date, please contact us at redlockescaperooms@gmail.com for availability. 
 
 

 

Will I be sharing a room with strangers?
No, Red Lock rooms are all booked as private rooms, therefore whether you book as a group of 2 or 6, you will always have the room to yourself.

 

 

Is the door really locked?
The room escape games real life setting is completely immersive once you’re inside. However, for the safety and enjoyment of all players, a participant may exit a live room escape game at any time. Keep in mind, once a player exits they will not be allowed to re-enter.

 

 

What should I bring with me?
Your inner Sherlock Holmes! The answers to the clues, riddles and puzzles are all in the room, but you will be looking for clues, working with your team mates, and applying logic reasoning to escape. We have an allocated space for your belongings inside lockers, reading glasses are recommended. Unfortunately, food or opened drinks cannot be taken into the rooms.

 

 

What happens if I need to cancel/reschedule?
We ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, to ensure we can help and process a refund if you wish to cancel. If you provide us with less than 24 hours notice or do not attend then your session will be cancelled and no refund will be provided. If you need to reschedule a time with less than 24 hours notice then a $40 reschedule fee will be due.

 

 

Is there a minimum age?
Red Lock Escape Rooms welcome players of all ages to our Area 51 and Bank Heist rooms. Children under 7 can play for free with an accompanying adult. 
Area 51, Asylum, Mob Job and Bank Heist are all recommended for players 10+.
(*Please note that Aunt Annie’s Asylum & The Mob Job have mature themes and might not be suitable for children)

 

What time should I arrive?
All players should arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time. To provide the best experience for all participants, the game doors cannot be re-opened once the game begins.

 

 

Can I pay a cash to book?
We accept cash in store to book a future time. To book online or over the telephone we do need a credit/debit card payment to reserve the time slot for you. Unfortunately we cannot reserve a time for you without a payment.
